Further Details

Tailgating is when the triaxle driver uses small chains to allow his bed to open slightly.  The driver then starts to slowly dump the load and drive a desired path at a set speed.  This allows the stone to be distibuted evenly down a driveway, road , parking lot and etc.
If done correctly, The end result is smooth, even and it can save many hours of manual labor and machine rentals.
Bullskin Stone and Lime has a limited list of drivers who are skilled in the art of tailgating.
For an area to be eligible for tailgating, the path of the truck must be free of overhead lines, branches, limbs and any other obstruction that a fully lifted triaxle bed may hit while moving.

Rip Rap and R-Rock may puncture an aluminum bed triaxle.  They require a steel bed tri-axle and delicate loading procedures not to cause damage or punctures in the loading and unloading process.  That is why there is an additional charge for delivering these large stone.  The larger the stone, the more risk the driver takes for damage during delivery.
